What was the highlight of Alta Cebu Resort

The ambience around the pool bar, the evening music, the quite location (except for some planes flying low over the place), the gardens, good facilities and services in general, easily accessible from the Mactan airport.

The dining hall is sad, continental breakfast poor. The place is of difficult access, nested into a local community (barangay), about one hour from Cebu city proper and 10 km from Mactan new town. You need transportation to visit places out of the resort. Not suitable for divers or for walking around. No beach access nearby. Erratic wifi.

The photos they use to advertise look nice until you get there and realised the photos must 10 plus years old. Had a window that wouldn't lock made them aware and took several days before fixed. No room security

What was the highlight of Alta Cebu Resort

We thought there would be a beach but there was none. The resort doesn't have an on-site medical team in case of emergencies as well. Breakfast buffet was messy, food choices too few. Dinner buffet was a joke. They ran out of food and was slow in refilling the food.

Room was excellent and pool area great

No attendants/waiters roaming around pool for food and drinks. Limited hours for ordering drinks during day time. Housekeeping left room without bathroom nesesities like toilet paper and towels. Bonus we got food poisoning from the food.

No working tv OR internet at the room! NO one working at the bar, hade to ask for help The restaurant was poor out of ingrediens most days

The room rates is fair enough

The service sucks.Staff are not properly updated regarding the Iron Man event as we have flight to catch up the next morning.Good thing we are informed earlier from a friend. We requested for an additional table in the room and they compromised but later inform us that it isn't possible. It was like expectation vs. reality when we arrived.My cousin is from Japan and for sure she won't be recommending your Resort to her friends and so as me.

What was the highlight of Alta Cebu Resort

Great stuff for kids. Very nice pools, ping pong, basketball, badminton, darts. Friendly staff. Beautiful trees. Free breakfast delicious. Evening pool entertainment. Pool hammock.

Restaurant. The location of the resort is not walkable to restaurants or taxis. We ate at the restaurant but apparently not many others do because the kitchen seemed to be an afterthought of the resort. Pizza was good. Food too salty and menu looks old with menu items that they dont have and with far too many items for such a slow place. Should be simple and fresh and better burgers with less sauce. Ordered caesar salad and the kitchen didnt know how to make caesar salad sauce, gave us some other dressing instead. In the room you will have tiny white ants on your table. They crawl from the curtains. Keep no food even wrapped on the table, fridge, tv stand or you'll see the ants immediately. The kettle didnt work but I wouldn't use anyway because of the ants. The air con rattles and had a green light which lit up the room more than to my liking. The wifi only works outside the room. They have wifihotspot but it didnt work in room 99% of the time. Walked outside my room on the balcony for wifi. No store on site to buy anything and walking outside the resort was a shock. Looked very very poor. Dense trees with wood shacks and dogs running around. A walk through that area took us to the main road which had no restaurants except one place about 10 min walk. We ate lunch there , Tataya ? The fried chicken was delicious but lots of flies so wouldnt go back. This resort is great if you want to save money, have a very nice pool with nice evening Phillipino karaoke~style lounge singers, and if you have a car or dont mind using the cheap buses to get to reataurants and do excursions. For 50/night including the taxes its a good value! Think a restaurant menu re~do, a little store with reasonable prices, and no ants would bring it up a couple notches for me.

It is a nice pleasant stay 2nights but I hope you should add 1 chair for the bar area for having coffee.bcoz it has only 1 chair .So its either me or my husband can only sit beside the coffee table.But the rest service is excellent ..People are friendly and so polite.. :)

What was the highlight of Alta Cebu Resort

The staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful after I managed to lose my phone prior to getting yo the hotel. This is not a large all singing all dancing hotel and I suspect their core business is more with local businesses than forgien tourists but for a quiet place to really relax it is ideal.

The catering is obviously aimed more at local guests rather than overseas tourists but is still adequate I think for most people if not overly impressive. Although outside city taxis are cheap enough to go in for a night out

What was the highlight of Alta Cebu Resort

I like the staff because they were so accommodating and very helpful. There are so many plants and makes you feel relaxed by looking at them. The room was big and clean. There was free coffee during my first stay. I am a lone traveler and noticed a company who booked the resort for their team building and they looked that they had fun! So I recommend this place for team buildings. I love the personal touch on the card they hand out during checkout :)

Since it's a garden resort, you can't really avoid insects going in to your room or getting leaves/insects in the pool. It's a good venue for team buildings but they could've had picked a spot for activities away from the guests rooms because it gets noisy. Since the guest room's wall are built on light materials, you can hear noises from outside.

Clean rooms.

It's not just a resort It is also conference center. So just crazy number of people there. Music is everywhere and loud. On Fridays they do buffet and if you want to order off the menu they act weird and your food takes forever to get.
